Ovarian cyst torsion in first trimester of pregnancy: a case report

Abstract

Surgical abdominal emergencies during pregnancy make difficult problems for their diagnosis, surgical decision-making and the prognosis. We report a case of torsion of a cyst of the ovary in the first trimester of pregnancy. It was treated surgically by laparotomy. The evolution of the pregnancy was favorable and the patient gave birth vaginally to a healthy newborn
